and sets them on display for your target audience.

Scope of the Service

The promotional text (PT) service includes the following, as appropriate for your manuscript:

  • Providing a detailed questionnaire to learn about you and your vision for your work

  • Reading the entirety of your manuscript to learn the plot, get to know your characters and their motivations, and become familiar with the setting, themes, and imagery

  • Crafting an engaging book description and eye-catching taglines that align with your authorial voice and match the tone of your manuscript and its genre

  • Writing an author bio that shows you off to your readers and interests them in what you have to say

  • Identifying genre-specific keywords that perform well on Amazon, then integrating these into the PT copy to better reach your target readership

  • Suggesting additional keywords, as well as content comparisons across books, TV, and film, that you can reference for ad targeting

Stages of the Service

1. Questionnaire completion

During this round, you’ll fill out an in-depth questionnaire about yourself and your work. Optionally, we can schedule a thirty-minute video or voice call to discuss your goals.

2. Research and writing round

During this round, I read the entirety of your work and study characterizations, plot, themes, etc., using your questionnaire to guide my approach. I then perform a keyword and content comparison study to enhance PT performance and ad targeting. Finally, I draft your book description, author biography, and a variety of taglines.

3. Author review round 1

During this round, you’ll review my first draft and provide your initial feedback, revision requests, and any edits you have so far. Optionally, we can schedule a thirty-minute video or voice call to discuss your thoughts.

4. Revision round

During this round, I’ll edit, revise, or rewrite the PT copy to align with your feedback.

5. Author review round 2

During this round, you’ll provide final feedback and/or make any final adjustments to the PT copy.

6. Finalization round

During this round, I’ll incorporate your edits and feedback, then perform a final proofread of the PT copy and create the relevant HTML text needed for an Amazon product listing.
